This is an experimental on-line parts database and cross reference for Rover parts. Here, you can type in a Rover part number and find out what the part is, what the Land Rover, Girling and Lucas equivalent part numbers are, and any other information on the part the database might have - such as remarks on availability, ease of fitting, known problems with this part, etc.
There isn't very much in the database at the moment and it's provided merely as a sampler or demonstration of what can be done, not a full production service. But YOU can help to make it much better and of real use by supplying me with the raw information the database needs - things like the Land Rover, Girling, Lucas and other maker's part number equivalents to the Rover part numbers. Please send these to me either via the Roverworld mailing list or to the Rover database manager directly (my thanks to Alan Francis who provided all the information that is currently in this database).
To try the database, look at the sample list below and choose one of the Rover or Land Rover part numbers listed there. Now enter the database and type in the part number you have chosen into the correct box. For example, suppose you are interested in a door pillar switch and you know the Land Rover part number is STC 872; simply type in STC 872 in the Land Rover part number box and click the Submit button. Back will come all the information I currently have on this part plus the Rover part number.
